Solstice Festival

The summer solstice marks the longest day and shortest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and is technically the official start of summer. It is also one of the most celebrated and spiritual nights in the world, associated with both the "São João Batista" and oldest pagan rituals. In Torre de Moncorvo we celebrate through an artistic, cultural and environmental melting pot in the center of the town that unites generations, communities and nature. For three days there are activities, workshops, workshops, astronomy sessions, concerts, performances and recreations of Summer Solstice celebrations aimed at all ages and full of family activities. In communion with the Environment, the festival provides the public with the opportunity to expand creativity, grow with fantasy, art, science, magic, leaving the proverbial box.
