Brunheda Viewpoint:
An invitation towards the heavens, in the middle of nature. Here you can
contemplate the beauty of the Tua Valley, on the western edge of Carrazeda de Ansiães.
Between granite soils and schist plateaus, the division is made by the banks of the River
Tua. Create memories with unique landscapes in the background.
Fraga da Ola Viewpoint:
Imagine yourself surrounded by all that is natural, with mountains and terraces
and the sky as your limit. The combination of colour palettes is timeless and
unforgettable. You can see and hear the famous ‘Fraga da Ola’ waterfall.
Senhora da Graça Viewpoint:
Nothing compares to the views from the Senhora da Graça viewpoint. Set on a
granite hill, anyone who climbs to the top is amazed by the vast area that captures the
eye. Between the Carrazedense plateau and part of the Tua River Valley, you’ll want to
appreciate what nature has to offer.
Senhora da Saúde Viewpoint:
An elevation built by man, so that you can have a view worthy of the most
beautiful masterpieces. This is a balance between the landscape and the viewpoint.
Discover the Cabreira Valley and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace.
São Lourenço Viewpoint:
The photo is worthy of a postcard. When you visit the viewpoint, you visit pure
nature. The stamp is from São Lourenço, but the charm will last forever, captured by
your camera’s gaze and/or lens.
Douro Viewpoint:
Anyone who thinks they’ve seen a similar landscape is mistaken. Surrounded by
greenery, nature, beauty and harmony, you can also see farms, vineyards, the hillside
and the River Douro in the centre.
Senhor da Boa Morte Viewpoint:
The scope is lost in the various mountainous cut-outs and the countless
vineyards. The viewpoint is located in the sanctuary that gave it its name, dating back to
the 18th century. Your gaze can see a panoramic view of this Douro canvas.
Olhos do Tua Viewpoint:
Prepare to be amazed by what you’ll see at the Olhos do Tua viewpoint. The clear
water and the curves of the land are breathtaking. Climb the steps and enjoy!
Museums
In Carrazeda de Ansiães you’ll have plenty to visit. There are several museums

Gastronomy
This municipality is for those who like to enjoy good snacks and delicacies worthy
of a visit.
The local smoked meats are king in the Douro region, with ham, chorizo and
salpicão standing out. Hunting is a current practice and you can savour rabbit, wild boar
or partridge. In riverside areas, the famous river fish can be fried or served with a pickling
sauce.
Regional highlights include oven-roasted kid with fried potatoes, boiled octopus
with potatoes and cabbage, codfish and feijoada à transmontana. The municipality also
created the Goat Fair in 2021, with the aim of promoting the region in a post-pandemic
period.
If you’re a fan of sweets, you can’t miss the famous rice pudding, Easter folares,
various varieties of apple cakes and pumpkin jam.
