Description
Monte da Senhora da Cunha, 300m from the property, provides a grandiose setting on top of a hill, probably once associated with the cult of the moon and clearly shown in the Pala Pinta rock painting. It is an ancient sacred space which, from the 18th century onwards, was associated with the veneration of Senhora dos Prazeres.
When you reach the hill, you can hear the sound of nature, the landscape of the natural park and the Rio Tua, whose flow has been benefited by the construction of the Barragem do Tua.
Bonelli House is located near the village of Amieiro - Alijó (a municipality badly affected by the fires of 2017 ) and has 4 accommodation units, with capacity for 12 people, with modern architecture that allows you to contemplate the landscape.
It has a differentiating and innovative concept due to its self-sustainability (the house is completely autonomous), investing on infrastructures and services suitable for Nature Tourism, and is located in a region recognized as World Heritage.
The architecture of Bonelli House is designed to be a birdwatching space, a viewpoint for the landscape of the Rio Tua, so this establishment was built so that all guests / visitors can enjoy the natural beauty around the house.
Note: Access to the property is via a 4km long gravel track which, although in reasonable condition, is not suitable for low profile vehicles. The property offers Jeep transport to the property on request.
