Description
On Avenida Conselheiro José Maria de Alpoim, in the center of Mesão Frio, stands the chapel invoking Saint Anthony, whose frontispiece is engraved with the year 1845. Álvaro Maria de Fornelos claims that this public chapel was built in 1845, but when it was auctioned off, the Public Credit Board's notice, published in 1842, already mentioned the existence of this chapel three years before the date on top of the building.
