Description
Although it's not a stately home, it's certainly the most eye-catching building in the parish of Barqueiros. It was built between 1910 and 1915 by a son of Arrais, when he returned rich from Brazil. His wish was to build a palatial house on that hill which, as a whole, is reminiscent of the colonial houses in Manaus (Brazil) built by Portuguese emigrants in the 18th and 19th centuries.
