Description
The chapel of Nossa Senhora da Piedade in São Martinho das Chãs is located on the hill overlooking Gogim. Another smaller chapel dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene still stands on the same site. In addition to the two temples, there is also what used to be the hermit's house, as well as schist buildings that were once used to welcome pilgrims from all over the world. The pilgrimage is still held today on the last Sunday in May.
