Description
From the top of Borralheira hill, covered in pine and chestnut trees, you can enjoy a rare panorama, with the River Távora bathing the village and the surrounding hills. It is one of the most fantastic Miradouros in the county and is home to one of the most complete and interesting sanctuaries in the region. Senhora das Necessidades is venerated there on August 15th every year. Surrounding the chapel, which houses several ex-votos, are the Casa do Ermitão (which used to store the alms of the faithful), the Casa do Enxadão, the social area, the altar for the masses on Calvário hill and the Via Crucis dos Débeis. It's an interesting place where you can have a picnic, stroll through pine forests or just rest.
