Description
Built in the 17th/18th century, it is the bell tower that remains of the old Church of Santa Cristina, destroyed on May 11, 1809 by General Loison's troops during the 2nd French invasion, commanded by Soult, and worship was then celebrated in the chapel of the old Picota manor house. Located in the heart of the historic center of Mesão Frio, in 2021 the tower was converted into an urban viewpoint with free access.
